Not Ever

Who’s sorry now
not you
not ever
shined black fingertips
hanging
tasty yellow skin

Who’s sorry now
not you
not ever
shadowed white teeth
closeting
jumpy yellow skin

Who’s sorry now
not you
not ever
venom red eyes
poisoning
drowsy yellow skin

Who’s sorry now
not you
not ever
triple-hued hatred
hauling
swindled yellow skin

Who’s sorry now
for you
no one
not ever
iridescent gloom cuffed to
shrinking brown you
dipped
doused
dropped
in gained guilt
shield your dead eyes
in the dazzle of the
the jeweled coup
of triumphant yellow me.
